I'm a caregiver. I help seniors. My gentleman really looked forward to our Saturdays, a fresh shave, coffee and brunch somewhere. Every time we were at Amstel we were treated very well. Tyler was extremely kind and it was very much appreciated. The young lady and also the young man at our last visit...I had the impression he was learning.The clientele even, good people. My gentleman had his shave paid for by a mystery man during one visit. He really wanted to thank that person, so if you're out there reading this... It meant so much to him. Thank you. Great place, great atmosphere. They all can cut really well there but I always get my cut from Mike. Definitely recommend him if you are stopping in.

Mike was a saint while dealing with my autistic son. I didn't feel judged. He used caring hands and cheered my son on during the entire hair cut while taking breaks and being extremely understanding. Not to mention my son's hair cut is amazing!read more

Friendly, competent staff. Consistently staffed as well. Not a bunch of new faces every time you walk in the door.Can have very long wait times during peak hours.If you're a townie or have a flexible schedule go there during the week to avoid the wait.Ask for Ritzy.read more

After shopping around I found a few places. One was terrible and pricey, $30. Another I didn’t give a chance, despite good reviews, because they wanted a $30 for a simple beard trim. I looked again and found Amstel. Price was right. I gave it a try. Kate/Katie has trimmed me up a few times now and results have been fantastic! Went to a ceremony this past weekend (which of course I had a trim before) and had several compliments on my beard specifically. I say money well spent! |:^) Never have to wait, easy to get to, Kate/Katie is just a joy to chat with. And after a $10 tip, it’s still under $25! Recommend Kate/Katie because she does such a good job for me, but anybody there will do a good job for you. Couldn’t be happier with their services. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Joey was awesome! Walked in and he called me right over. Traveling for work, so he was new to my hair, but did exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't know all the right terminology to describe it lol. Excellent experience and very reasonably priced!
