Product Review: Morris Motley Chrome
Hold & Performance
I was quite impressed with the hold. You can style your hair in the morning and still feel it working at night. However, if you have a demanding hairstyle, such as a tight slick back look, things may get loose by the end of the day. Nonetheless, the ability to restyle your hair throughout the day and have it hold the new style, is very nice.
Also, this product will add some amazing volume to your hair. It will make thin and regular hair look nice and thick. The additional volume and easy restyling was a big positive for me.
Feel
When you scoop out the product, it feels like a thick cream. It’s a little thicker than the Morris Motley Treatment Styling Balm, but softer than a clay. More importantly, the product feels amazing in your hair. Add Morris Motley Chrome to lightly wet hair, and by the time your har dries you won’t feel any product in your hair. But, still great hold.
If you add it to dry hair, it can feel a little sticky until it breaks down a little. Afterwards, your hair will feel nice and soft.
But overall, I love the feel of Morris Motley Chrome in my hair because it doesn’t feel like you have product in your hair and you can restyle your look throughout the day, and it will still hold that new look.
Shine
The shine is alright. It’s not that noticeable on your first application. But, you can apply more layers of product to increase the shine. This gives you nice control over the shine, although you may have to use more product if you really crave the shine.
Smell
The smell is unique. Some people seems to love it, and others don’t mind it. It has a fragrance that’s like bubble gum with just a hint of a floral smell. Not a feminine smell, just unique.
Washability
Product comes out completely with just water. Can’t beat that.
Price
This product performs like a premium product, but is also priced like one. If you just want something to mess up your hair a little, this product isn’t the best value for you. It runs about $45 and there are limited buying options.
Overall - Worth the Buy?
If you care about your hair product and want something with good ingredients and performance, then try Morris Motley Chrome.
I love how much volume it adds. You’ll get the appearance of very thick hair, but if you run your hands through your hair, its not very noticeable you are using product.
It’s not cheap, but few products work as well as Morris Motley Chrome.
