I came to the barber shop at their closing time but Gregory was super nice and still accepted to cut my hair. He is easy to chat to, and most importantly, makes nifty and efficient cuts. Michael is a great barber also; my hair has been cut many a time by him, and he always does a marvelous job. Dominick has also cut my hair many times, he cuts with such precision and accuracy that my hair feels like wool after he fiddled with it. Dmitri is an extraordinary barber, and he is kind, entertaining, and humorous. All of these men I have grown to know well; they are friends, very close to me. After 15yrs in the city I’ve finally found my trusted go-to barber shop. It’s the most convenient barber shop in the area given that they are open late everyday and right off the West 4th St subway stop if I am coming from work. Most importantly, I have a high level of trust with the entire staff, which has given me the confidence that I will get equally great service from anyone on the team if I need a haircut on my regular barber’s day off. I have been going to Village Cuts since April 2021. They have always given me a great haircut and I have been pleased but today Gregory went above and beyond to make me a lifetime client. I desperately needed a haircut but I had to get to the airport for a flight to a weekend wedding. They open at 11:30 but that would have been too late. I texted Gregory (yes he gave me his contacts) and explained my dilemma. He said he would come in at 11 if that helped. It did and true to his word he was there at 11. He gave me a great cut (my wife loves it) and was done in plenty of time to make it to the airport on time. I am a bit older so I was not looking for high and tight or a fade although they do those too. This place is great and I highly recommend them to you.read more

The staff at Village Cuts is not just amazing but also some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I have met anywhere. I was made to feel so comfortable, that I felt like we were old friends conversing. And I really enjoyed being able to simply sit in the waiting area while they did whatever they were doing, even when it took a while, it seemed like no time at all before my name was called and I was sitting with an assistant who listened closely to what I had to say. She was incredibly polite and skillful, ensuring that I was comfortable and satisfied throughout the entire process.Marina consistently consulted with me on how the haircut was progressing, making sure every detail was just right. Her attention to detail and professionalism were evident in every snip and trim. The finishing touches, including hair styling with a pleasantly aromatic gel, left me feeling refreshed and confident.The premises were impeccably clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. So far, the best barbershop in Greenwich Village. The barbers are quick and skilled. They listen to what you say! Plus, the barbershop itself has a great vibe.
