Description
The Cut Block in Wood-Ridge, NJ is a quality looking barber shop with professional and efficient barbers. You can get yourself a nice fade, hot towel shave beard enhancement, black head extraction, etc. The preferred method of visiting is via appointment, but they do take walk-ins and have walk-in specials, such as $10 haircuts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for students, first responders & vets. It's also a great place to bring your kids.

Today was the first day of reopening for barbershops in NJ and NY. I live in Manhattan and I came all the way to the Cut Block for a hair because 1. The owner Kenny has been my barber for almost 20 years 2. The quality of service recurved is white glove . 3. I’m the model for which we have won solid trophies and national championship battles.Today 6/22/2020 I saw the entire team step up to all of the new CDC and Covid related challenges. Adhering to social distancing and facial masks . Proper scheduling and a dedicated positive staff made my experience today amazing! Today I think everyone wanted to get a haircut and it was a test to see if the Cut Block could Cut it with heavy demand and new rules. And I would say they NAILED it.Great job guys!I talked to numerous patrons of the shop while we were outside social distancing, and they had nothing but great things to say about the work, professionalism and the kids that go there love their cuts , quoted from a waiting parent.Highly recommendations and kudos!read more

Kenny and Angel are the best. The only two barbers that I trust with my boy’s hair and that they trust to have cut their hair. For a 6 and 3 year old, haircuts are never easy, but at The Cut Block....everything runs smoothly. Awesome place!! Awesome staff! I highly recommend coming here.read more

This barber shop is awesome . Fab is absolutely one of the best . He regularly cuts my 3 year olds hair and it’s not easy doing kids but he makes it easy . So patient and did such a great job ! Kenny was awesome I needed a fade it was Friday night about 10pm and saw the shop open. Walked in as he was wrapping it up for the night but he took care of me even though I was a first time customer not a regular. Gave me a tight fade made me look crispy clean for the an event I had early the next morning. He was very welcoming and entertaining even after being in his shop for over 15 hours. Lemme preface with the fact that I had long hair for years and had not gotten anything done to it besides minor trims, and was nervous about cutting it all off after years. Fear not though because Kenny gave me by far the best haircut I've ever had. I've gotten compliments about just how good it is by friends and family, saying how much better it fits me than any other style I've had in the past. I showed Kenny a picture of what I roughly had in mind and Kenny did the rest beautifully and knew exactly what I needed when I didn't. The environment is top notch too, a nice bonus on top of a guaranteed great haircut. I will most certainly be coming to The Cut Block exclusively from now on.Also, they fit me in on a notoriously busy day, Saturday, even though I had called only two hours earlier than the appointment they ended up giving me. Even with the limited notice and them finding the time for me I waited no more than 5 minutes to get into a chair. Seriously appreciated.read more

What a gem! I got my hair cut here and probably the best I've ever gotten. Didn't know what to expect. In the past I usually tell the barber to fade it, and they say, "yup, got it", and it just falls short. I learned the definition of fade at The Cut Block. It was just perfect. They spend that time and they pay attention to detail. They just made me look good. Like GOOD. It's a bit pricey, but you know where it goes. Nice to see people really take pride in their craft. Fastest cut in the state, and better looking than any other haircut I've had since moving to NJ in 2019. I'm glad its only a half hour drive for me, but I'd drive an hour or more each way if I had to. Call in advance! The Cut Block has the best group of barbers around. I personally have been getting my haircut by Kenny for about 5 years. Every time he gives me a perfect haircut. Not only does he cut hair, he does beards and eyebrows too and always makes sure I look good when I leave.
