I took both my kids to get cuts before the first day of school. I called around 12:30 and they were able to see them at 2. Both barbers were great and friendly. My husband saw their cuts that night and said it’s the best cuts they’ve gotten. They are 8 and 9 and not fans of the clippers so they don’t sit still very well but they turned out awesome. I am absolutely APPALLED at how I was treated by the owner here. Yesterday my 8-year-old and 3-year-old both got haircuts, and they were BAD, especially my 3-year-old’s. I even took him back to the same female barber to have it fixed, and it still came out terrible. The picture I attached was already after she tried to “fix” it the second time.When I called, the owner told me I could come in for a refund. Instead of just handling it professionally, he accused me of being a “scammer” from last year—even though I only moved here from Florida. I walked in and he said “ oh it’s you, the scammer from last year.”He repeatedly denied that my kids had even gotten their hair cut there, going as far as to insist I went somewhere else, until I had to show my bank statement, photos, and even FaceTime my husband so he could confirm it was this exact barber! The owner cut my 8 year old and female cut my youngest.Even after his own barber admitted she cut my son’s hair, the owner kept shifting his story, first denying it ever happened, then saying he was just doing what my husband asked. In the end, he did refund me, but only after throwing the money across the counter at me while still calling me a scammer.I’ve been taking my kids for haircuts for years, and while toddlers can sometimes move around, I’ve never had results this bad, let alone twice in a row and for TWO kids. My 8 year old sits extremely still, so no excuse for that. But honestly, the haircut isn’t even the worst part. The way the owner treated me was beyond unprofessional and downright disgusting. I left there shaking.Parents, take your kids somewhere else.Disgusting and gross behavior. I need a refund as I have to go elsewhere now to get them fixed. The total was $56 and he begrudgingly gave me $50.Edit to add a response to the owner:You completely sidestepped the fact that when I walked in, you immediately accused me of being a scammer and tried to gaslight me by pretending I had never been there, even though you cut my son’s hair the day before. That denial is still clear in your response, where instead of taking any responsibility for the awful way you treated me and the butchered haircut, you doubled down and tried to shift blame onto me again.Let’s be clear. It wasn’t until the female barber admitted she had cut my son’s hair that you finally backed off, and even then you barely acknowledged it. Now you’re lying about the refund amounts. I’ve attached screenshots from my bank account to prove otherwise.This copy-pasted ChatGPT-sounding response doesn’t change the fact that your customer service is unprofessional and your attitude is downright disgusting. Barber name Victor did not follow my request (I showed him the photo of what my hair to be cut). He ended up keep hacking my hair, shaved one of my eyebrows and not much hair left. I came back to complain, and other barber fixed my hair plus he charged me 2 times and I got refunded. There were three other people complained the same on the day I came in.read more

In town for a wedding. Desperately needed a cut, as I've been super busy this last week. They got me in last minute and Illya absolutely crushed it. I didn't realize my previous barber had my part too low, illya said hey we need to fix this. He had me looking right in 25 minutes. He knows hair and clearly is incredible at what he does. Had the worst cut in years! Barber cut the front of my head shorter than the back of my head! He used the trimmer and made it 1/4 inch long in the front and 1 inch on the top. My wife says I look like I had frontal brain surgery :( Very nice guy to talk to but has no skill for comb overs. He also partitioned my hair at the wrong spot on the right. I now have 2 partition tracks on my head, so I can't buzz cut to solve the problem, or 2 tracks will show. I had an emergency need and showed up for the first time. I'm from KC, so I don't know the area too well. I needed a haircut - BAD. Usually I just buzz my hair down but I needed a fly haircut for a wedding I was a big part of. Players stood out to me because of their website and good reviews.I asked for a haircut I had never tried before; one other barbers at chain establishments had told me wouldn't work for one reason or another. The barber I got here took one look at the photos I showed her and simply said "No problem." She didn't even need to look at the photos twice. The cut turned out better than I could have expected - it looks fantastic! The barber even gave me tips on how to freshen it up and beard tips too!The atmosphere was what I like. It was laid back and they had good music playing. I'm kind of a talker and the barber engaged in conversation with me but I get the feeling if you're a silent haircut type they don't mind that either. If you're thirsty, they've even got beer on tap!I'd highly recommend Players to anyone looking for a bomb haircut that doesn't break the bank!read more
