Description
Mike’s Barber Shop in Princeton, NJ is a gentleman's shop, reminiscent of the classic barbershops of the past. They offer a variety of styles, from kid's cuts to fades, as well as hot towel shaves. There are TV's at each station and Mike's collection of sports memorabilia decorating the walls. They offer complimentary coffee/espresso and magazines galore to read while you wait. Maybe even a beer too. Mike and his staff are very friendly and would love to have conversation instead of sitting quiet during the haircut.

This is the only great place for man's haircut in Princeton. Mike and his co-workers are always attentive and professional. The wait time could be longer at times, but it worth it and you are always offered a cup of coffee or even a beer!read more

Mike’s is the best! Quality care from quality people. I’ve been coming here now monthly for 5 years straight and love the service. Mike is a staple in the local community (he seems to know everyone in town!), and he’s hired great barbers to work alongside him. Olivia, Erin, Jenn & Bruce. All up for a good chat and will be happy to either cater to your specs or can work their magic if you rather they take the lead. They‘ll offer you a fresh espresso or easy K-cup coffee each time you come, or will hand you a fresh beer on tap any time of day :) they also offer shaves and have been good at staying safe during the COVID pandemic! They even now have an easy appointment scheduling tool on their website, making it easy to see who’s available at which times. Highly recommend!!read more

I've been searching for a barbershop in the area for four years, and a (great) friend recommended Mike's Barbershop. I've had my cut by 'Mike the Barber' and Jessica, great fade, and excellent scissors/buzzer work. I've had a low fade, a shape-up, and am currently growing my hair out. They've accommodated each request and delivered; veteran-friendly, student-friendly, and a local's favorite barbershop.They welcome appointments and walk-ins.read more

Mike is the man. I have extremely stiff Asian hair that is very difficult to cut, but Mike always makes my hair look fantastic. Service is quick and the atmosphere is relaxed. Have yet to find a better barber anywhere.read more

Mike deserves a lot of credit for creating a small business from the heart and making it his own. The atmosphere is great and Mike is always welcoming. All of the hair cutters are awesome.

Just had one of the best haircuts of my life. No kidding. And my hair not easy to cut. Olivia approached my unruly locks (uncut for over two months) with style and intent. Mike's barber shop is a good choice for getting a local haircut. I came in looking to go back to my pre-pandemic look after growing my hair for 2+ years.I'll start by saying that I like the appointment system. When I visited barbershops several years ago, there was usually no mechanism for appointments. Not having to wait in line is great. Next, I booked a long cut and I believe it was Jess performed it. She was very thorough and was able to mostly recreate the photos I shared with her (one being the wedding photo I attached). I went from the long curly hair to short taper and I'm pretty satisfied with the result.read more

It doesn't get better than Mike's. You get exactly what you ask for. If you're early you can lounge around in one of the comfortable sofas and chat it up or read some books and magazines. Espresso, coffee and other beverages are just a request away. I love this place!!read more

My first time here and I had a great haircut by Mike. We had small talk, then I let him get right to work. I am from PA. When COVID hit, Tom Wolf, (I Hate) not open PA back up. I needed a haircut, ASAP. I found Mike barbershop on google. I made appointment then after work, drove right there. Hopefully, I return in the future. Town of Princeton very nice. Also my cousin is a Princeton field hockey player alumni. I will return, no doubt.read more

Mike's is the go to place to get a haircut. The atmosphere is great, and the service is hard to beat. Everything is always polite and having fun and enjoying themselves. Mike's is a great Barber shop. Definitely the best true barbershop in Princeton. Everyone in the place does a great job cutting hair. Most times, you can walk in and wait your turn. I have been bringing my son to Mike since he was 2 years old. He is not just a barber for us he is family. Thanks to Mike my son looks forward to his cut and calls him the “best hair cutter”. We have tried everything from basic trims to fades, tapers, buzz cuts and all of them were flawless. All the men in our family make sure to pay a visit to Mike every time they visit us in princeton. Theres barbershops everywhere but none close to Mikes barbershop. The other staff is also super friendly, they always offer an espresso, with donuts, Italian cookies in the mornings. I will never forget how Mike ran down 2 blocks just to get my son lollipops and a cupcake for his birthday.read more
