Headrush Barbershop specialize in haircuts & beards, black mask facials, hot towel shaves, and beard dye. The owner, Goose, is a Brooklyn native raised in Greenpoint, and prides himself on maintaining a quality local barber shop in the area. It's a warm and family friendly atmosphere, where the young, old, locals and those new in town are welcome. It has a well kept interior that feels like quality.

I was recommended to Headrush barber shop 5 years ago. During this time i commute 45 minutes by train because a good barbershop is hard to find. In the 5 years i have been going to Headrush barbershop i have never heard a customer complain. They always have sports games on and the vibes are good. EXCELLENT SERVICE!! -ryanread more

Got a good haircut, but they were very lax about COVID rules even in the peak of winter. Another customer seated was getting a haircut without a mask on, and multiple times I've walked by and seen staff on without masks. Won't be going back until after the pandemic out of concern for my family's health :/read more

I’ve been a customer of Headrush for almost 15 years. Some of the most outstanding barbers in NYC. There a reason why Headrush has been a neighborhood staple for 25 years. This is the third Headrush location and every time Goose out does himself. The new shop looks amazing.read more

I take my 4 year old boy to get his haircuts there since he was a year and a half and they treat him so nice and everyone there is very welcoming . He never even cried while sitting in that chair as a baby until now.read more

I moved to the area in 2021 and tried a couple of overpriced, hippie barbershops where they charge you $40- 50+ per cut. They all were worse than Headrush. Go to Headrush and get a cut from Keidy for $25. I have gotten tons of compliments since coming here.read more

Not only was I recommended to come here, I was well taken care off. I just needed my sides shaved off and the line touched up after a previous expirence from a different shop had messed up my shape and line. Their prices have increased 40% to $35 for a haircut since the last review mentioning price five months ago, and I wasn't able to find official prices listed anywhere online. That's their decision, based on what they think their service is worth, but to be cash-only at that price level is ridiculous.read more

Fun staff and environment, but they messed up my hair. Took an hour to give a fade and trim the top. Asked to keep the top the same length and he cut it really short. Fade was inconsistent. There were major mistakes with the back of my hair that I had to come back and have them fix, they made me wait 20 mins. You might have a good experience, but in my opinion it's not worth the risk.read more
