But, if you're not in a rush, you should hang out and enjoy the comfortable environment at Gas Up Barbershop. Play some foosball or hockey, watch multiple flat screens, or log onto their free wifi. It's a cool updated by rustic cabin vibe. While they accept walk-ins, they mostly do appointments.

A funky and hip tonsorium in the heart of Somers Point, NJ serving up epic, time travelling barbering. From the moment we picked out services and booked our appointment on their website (received a response as soon as we hit the button) the hipness began. Located right on RT. 9 convenient to the 509 NJ Transit bus stop or parking in the shared Free parking lot (wheelchair accessible), we signed in, and had a seat. Took in the sights and sounds of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Got in the chair at our appointed time and was treated to some serious barbering. Lou is amazing! All types of hair are welcome and clients of all ages, too. Cash and cards are welcome. Hurry up hair and grow so we can go back! See for yourself why Gas Up is the way to go! ENJOY!read more

I was a little nervous at first but I have to admit by far the best barber shop I’ve been to in south jersey. Service and atmosphere was great. I was very impressed. My barber Stephanie was great. Mike and his team at Gas Up do a bang up job. Only place around where you can get a hot towel shave! The atmosphere is a cross between a rustic cabin/tattoo parlor/skate/barber shop. I love that I can book an appointment online to minimize my waiting.read more

This is my second experience with Lou since emerging from “Covidity”. He has been nothing but professional, I arrive on time (or 5 min late!) and both times he has been ready!I was treated professional by staff each time.- Temp check and ready to go.I do not recheck my cut or results after my appointment ( just a look in his mirror)- I go back to work and get complements about results and quality!Could not be happier-Thank you Gas Up and LouHope the weather and surf are in your favor!See you soon.read more

An awesome barbershop with a really great staff and a super chill vibe. We followed Mike and Lindsay here from Ryan’s Barbershop. My 9 year old son and I go to Lindsay and she does a really great job. People often ask where we get our haircuts. He’s told a few of his friends and I’ve told a few of my friends about Gas Up, and now they won’t go anywhere else! LOL a buddy of mine travels down here sometimes for work from Delaware and will only get his haircut at Gas Up now. Keep up the great work!read more

They are always great to me & my two boys. My oldest who is 4 likes sitting on the skateboard now and watching the surfing or skateboarding highlights that are on. When my haircut is over, it is always nice to end with hot shave on my neck and they send me on my way. Appreciate the service, their customer service, and going extra distance to work with me when my kids come in and one or both are having a bad day, they are very patient.read more

I really love going here. I don’t get a cool haircut and I’m not a local, but just a transplant. I don’t have the connections that many customers do, but it’s still my place. Carmel always does an incredible job. She’s super friendly and I always get an amazing haircut for $20 bucks (which in my option is a steal, so I leave $10 for a tip). The decor is a nostalgic dream and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. They pamper their customers exactly like you'd expect from a classic barber shop. Lou's passion for his craft and chair side manner is excellent with top quality cuts I look forward to. I recommend them for any beard trim or cut.read more

Ole skool barber shop with a new school flair. Appointments are always on time. The haircuts and shaves are perfection. I personally use Tracey but everyone there is a pro.
