This is definitely one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. My barber Miguel checked in with me before we started. I had images of the type of haircut I wanted, a light taper fade. He had some recommendations of his own, which I ended up taking. Once he was done, he gave me some advice on which moisturizer to use along with how to properly use the coiling sponge. It is my friend's wedding today and I truly feel like a fresh groomsman. Thank you, Miguel!read more

Hands down the best haircut and beard trim that I have ever received in Manhattan. I have experienced many, and this is the first time I have been motivated to write an online review. I'm not one to usually leave reviews, but I've struggled in the past to find a good hairdresser in NYC. I can strongly recommend Fellow Barber, in particular my hairdresser who is called Hung. First time my hair was cut by Hung I showed him pictures of what look I was after, and after asking a few questions & adding his insights he delivered exactly what I was looking for. 4 or 5 visits later, I wanted to go from long to short hair and again, showed him a picture of what I was looking for. Once again, he delivered exactly the look I was going for. Extremely talented hairdresser, and although the price is definitely on the high-end for a cut, you really do get for what you pay for. Plus, always a fun person to chat with. Highly recommend both this location and hairdresser.read more

I have been getting my haircut here for several years. After going to a fancy midtown salon for many years, and then trying lots of barber shops, I discovered Fellow Barber. The barbers here are excellent. They are all very skillful and produce really sharp looking cuts. They also do beards and shaves too. The prices are more than the usual neighborhood barbershop, but it is totally worth the price.read more

I have short hair and made a last minute appointment a while back while I was working in the area. I saw the great reviews and wanted to give it a shot. I called over the phone and the person I spoke to was very kind and helped a lot. I got there about 5/10 minutes early and when my appointment time came my stylist was not ready which was fine.I booked with Susi who was the only one available that day and needed the sides of my head buzzed. About 15/20 minutes passed by and they had not said anything so I asked the person at the reception desk what was going on because as a first impression, waiting that long with no answer was not fun. Its not 35 minutes later and Susi was ready for me but not once had said sorry for the delay or even mentioned it which I did not appreciate. Susi only issued an apology right when I was about to leave when I feel it should have been mentioned sooner.Although Susi gave me a great cut the overall experience was not great. As someone walking in for the first time at a new salon, waiting over 30 minutes is not fair to the customer, especially when you aren't saying anything to me on how much longer you will be.read more

I gave Fellow Barber a visit in on my holiday March 2020 and received a great haircut. I also had a nice chat with the barber. The shop had super comfy atmosphere. Fellows products are also worth to give a try. I love the scent of the Everyday Tonic!read more

I’ve tried for years to find a barber that can cut my hair affordably but have it look good (not just cutting it short but leaking done character. My hair is curly!)I’d highly recommend either Matthew or Susi. Both are skilled with the shears but also really nice to chat with. The best haircuts I've ever had!! Been living in the west village for a few years now and used to go to Martial Vivot, which was great but $$$$. I had heard good things about Fellow Barber from friends and gave it a try. I went to Stan for the first time a few months ago and he's my new go to. He's phenomenally skilled and delightfully stylish. A sorcerer with the scissors, Stan is always reliable for a fresh cut.read more

I've booked consistently with Stan every 2-3 weeks for over a year -- one of the best barbers I've ever been to anywhere I've lived, nyc or otherwise. Very reliable and a great guy, highly recommend.

I'm so in love with this place. The atmosphere is calming, and they always have great music playing. My brother had been coming here for years, and one day I sat around waiting for him while he was being served. I asked if anyone did women's hair (I have very short hair). Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, they did not disappoint. I've been seeing Jerome at this location for almost 2 years now. He's great. Highly recommend!read more

Laurie D. was 5 star all the way. Full stop. But I'm giving this place 4 stars because the guy who originally cut my hair at this location gave me one of the worst, sloppiest haircuts I've ever had. BUT when I called a couple days later to talk to management about it (respectfully) they booked me with a more senior stylist (Laurie D.) for a FREE REDO. She spent 40 minutes fixing what had be done so badly by someone else. I so appreciated her kindness and warmth and her careful work. She essentially had to completely redo my haircut and she really did a great job. Thanks, Laurie! So if you get a cut here and don't like it, don't fret! They will make it right as long as you come back for the fix within a week.read more
