The shop is clean and modern with a old school feel. I never have to wait, Chuck is punctual and ready for me when I walk through the door. He gives the best haircut and beard trim I've ever had. Chuck is detailed and consistent. The complements never stop after I leave the shop. Book yourself an appointment. It's worth every penny.read more

I'm a regular at Detroit Barber Co. Corktown, and I have no issues with their service. I recommended a family member to their Southfield location. She has a baby and had to wait 30 minutes past her appt time because the barber was late. The barber then refused to cut her hair and asked her why she wanted to make a drastic change despite hair already being in a small afro. After my family member insisted that she was fine with the change the barber still refused because she didn't know if it would "turn out okay". The barber was nice but it seemed like she was uncomfortable working with curly hair which is fine but maybe it shouldn't be one of her service offerings. Now we have to find another barber on short notice before an event tonight 😫. I'll still get my hair cut at the Corktown location but this experience definitely makes me hesitant about recommending family & friends to DBC in the future.read more
